EXCLUSIVE: Shreyas Talpade reveals prioritising ‘work over family’ before suffering heart attack, admits, “Commitment ke chakkar me hum health for granted lete hai”

Actor Shreyas Talpade underwent a massive health scare last year when he suffered a heart attack. On December 14, 2023, the actor collapsed after shooting for Welcome 3 and was rushed to hospital in Andheri. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Shreyas talks about prioritizing health and admits he has stopped taking his family for granted.

Talking about his health, we asked the Iqbal actor if actors tend to neglect their health for having good looks or fulfilling work commitments. To this he responds, “Good looks nahi, par commitment ke chakkar me hum health ko granted lete hai. (Not because of good looks, but due to work commitments we take our health for granted).”

He further added how health has become a matter of concern post covid. “But this what happened with me was pretty unfortunate and sudden. I never imagined such an instance would happen because I thought I was taking care of myself and my health. But I think it is also a very post covid phenomenon. Covid ke baad humare andar jo bhi badlaav hua hai, ab wo covid se hua hai ya vaccine se ye hum nahi jaante. But kaafi saari cheezein badli hai. So mai chahta hu ki sab log jitna ho sake apni health pe dhyan de. (Post Covid a lot has changed within us. But is it because of vaccine or virus that we don’t know. So all I want to say everyone is to take good care of health and do regular check-ups if needed).”

Sharing what he learnt from the tough times, Shreyas admits, “But one thing that changed is, I guess jo family ko mai thoda granted le raha tha itne saal kaam ke chakkar mein that has completely changed. (I was taking my family for granted due to work). So now family and my health comes first and then my work.”

On the work front, Shreyas is gearing up for release of Kartam Bhugtam. Apart from this, he is also shooting for Emergency and Welcome 3.
